Ariana Grande revealed that she feared she was 'being catfished' after receiving a message from English singer and songwriter, Imogen Heap. When asked if she ever gets starstruck, the Wicked star, 31, hilariously recalled her first interactions with Heap, 47, who she described as 'brilliant in every way.'.
'Imogen Heap is my idol—my number one favorite musician, songwriter, producer of all time. The first time I got a message from her, I thought I was being catfished,' the singer admitted to W Magazine. Grande previously included a remake of Heap's track, Goodnight and Go, on her album, Sweetener.
In 2018, Heap confirmed to Billboard that she and Grande had met 'a few times' before and she had previously seen the superstar's covers of her work. 'I think for her 21st birthday — her mom emailed me somehow and asked, “Can Ariana come over for dinner?” So she came to my house in the middle of the countryside in the outskirts of London and I didn’t have my mobile on so I couldn’t hear her calling me and they were completely lost going up and down this weird backstreet of the countryside,' Grande recalled.

She continued: 'I think Ariana really thought that it was a big setup where she was going to get murdered. Eventually I opened the door and there she was. I knew she was coming so I cooked her some lentils because she’s a vegan.'.
