Arsenal: Kai Havertz suffers injury scare as forward crisis deepens for Mikel Arteta Kai Havertz is being assessed by Arsenal after handing them an injury scare during their warm-weather training camp in Dubai.
Arsenal trained on Tuesday before flying home from Dubai later that day and Havertz will be assessed over the coming days before Saturday’s trip to Leicester.
Havertz being out would leave Arsenal with just three fit forwards in Ethan Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling.
Manager Mikel Arteta is due to hold a press conference on Friday morning ahead of that game and an update on Havertz’s fitness is expected then.
Gabriel Jesus is out for the season with a knee injury and Bukayo Saka is not due back until next month at the earliest after undergoing hamstring surgery in December.
