ASDA shoppers are rushing to buy a diffuser that's been slashed from £10 to just 2p. One savvy saver spotted the Air Wick cherry blossom and raspberry-scented set in their local branch and snapped up four. They posted their find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
Dozens of shoppers have liked and commented on the post in awe at the bargain price. One said: "As if. I want one!". A second and third added "wow bargain" and "I would have grabbed them all". The shopper that found the diffuser spotted the bargain in-store - it's not for sale online.
That means you can't buy it for home delivery, and there are no guarantees it'll be available in your local branch. Retailers are allowed to price products differently across their stores. Make sure you're shopping around to get the best price. Price comparison websites like Trolley, Price Spy and Price Runner show you different prices for items across various shops.
It's worth signing up to the Asda Rewards scheme to save money at the supermarket. The loyalty scheme, which is free to join, lets you earn Cashpot points by completing "missions" like hitting spending targets or buying products in certain categories. You can also earn cashback by buying "Star" products.
If you're a regular shopper and often go for Asda's more premium lines, it's worth taking on the "downshifting" challenge too. This means going for budget lines over more luxury lines, which could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your shopping. It's worth joining up to specific Facebook groups where shoppers flag bargain deals they've found online or in-store too.
