Axel Disasi leaves Chelsea for Aston Villa loan despite Tottenham interest

Axel Disasi has joined Aston Villa from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season. The Midlands giants will pay a loan fee of around £5million for the defender after holding off competition from Tottenham. Spurs were considering a move for the defender, having earlier in the day ended their interest, but failed to convince the player. Disasi was interested in a move to Villa Park, as manager Unai Emery strengthened his squad to battle across the Premier League and Champions League. Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio also joined on loan deals from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
