BGT star reveals how artists get trapped in music industry and dishes on 'false promises' A BGT singer has revealed how artists get trapped in the music industry and has shared her own experience of "false promises" from labels.
"The downside of some artists being signed to multiple deals is that if the label doesn't like their songs or doesn't think the song is good enough etcetera, they can keep not approving a record and that means the artist can't go anywhere or do anything which can be quite dejecting for artist to face.
"A lot of the time it's like you go in with the best intentions with the labels that you sign deals with and hope that their going to deliver on the things that they said, and they also hope that the artist they signed will deliver on what they said they'd do.
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Kelli-Leigh explained: "There's a lot of labels that'll make a lot of promises and they'll have a great meeting at the start and be like this is what we're gonna do, we're going to see it go forward.".
"A lot of artists experience that, there's a lot of artists that you'll hear about that get talked about being 'put on a shelf'.
