B&M shoppers have gone wild after spotting an iconic childhood sweet back on the shelves a year after it was axed. Fans were left devastated when Nestle announced it was discontinuing Polo fruits in December 2023. But over a year later the sweets have been spotted on the shelves of bargain store B&M.

A fan posted a picture of a tube of fruity treats on Facebook group Bargain Lovers. One shopper eager to pick up the sweet commented: "Thank you for posting this, I've been looking all over for these Polos.". Another said: "Omg thank you for posting been looking for these since I was a kid.".

A third added: "Was only talking about these the other day.". A lot of fans were left feeling nostalgic after seeing the old sweets. One said: "Not seen these for years.". Another added: "Reminds me of my mum she loved them.". A third exclaimed: "These bring back memories happy ones.".

A fourth added: "Omg I LOVED these every day before school.". Polo Fruits consist of assorted fruit-flavoured hard candies, in flavours such as strawberry, blackcurrant, orange, lemon, and lime. They were launched in 1954 and sold for 70 years before being discontinued due to disappointing sales.

This is not the first time in recent weeks B&M has stocked old favourites that fans thought they had lost for good. Shoppers were also shocked to discover the discounter was stocking a pink lemonade-flavoured Dairy Milk bar. And, back in October, shoppers were blown away when they spotted Cadbury 5-Star mini treats in stores.
