Dortmund are now turning their attention to Zinchenko, who is into the final 18 months of his contract at Arsenal, with no sign of a new deal being signed.
Arsenal are dealing with a number of injury issues currently, including in defence, which could put them off letting the Ukrainian leave.
However, the Gunners are reportedly open to offers for Zinchenko this month.
