The former Coronation Street star joined the ITV soap last year, in a storyline that eventually revealed Ella killed her best friend when she was a child.
Away from the storyline about her past, Ella began a relationship with local GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), but that came to an end when he released he wanted to be with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
Liam and Chas worked together and supported each other during the ordeal, with Chas eventually telling Liam that she always feels safe with him, and then proposed herself.
Teasing what’s ahead for Ella, Paula added at the end of her caption: ‘I promised lots to come for Ella and I don’t break promises….brace yourselves!’.
It’s possible Ella will choose to leave the Dales for a new life elsewhere, once she learns of Liam and Chas’ engagement news.
