Brighton forward Evan Ferguson has reportedly attracted interest from a Premier League rival ahead of the January transfer window. The 20-year-old has had limited game time for the Seagulls so far this season, playing just 368 minutes in total across all competitions.

Ferguson has started just twice in the Premier League for Fabian Hurzeler's side, with his only goal of the campaign coming against Wolves in October. The Ireland international had played 36 matches in all competitions last season for Brighton, scoring six times in total.

His progression has been hit by an ankle injury which had kept him out for five months, forcing him to wait until September for his first appearance this season. Ferguson was linked with a loan move away from Brighton last month in search of regular minutes, with Danny Welbeck, Georginio Rutter and Joao Pedro among Hurzeler's attacking options.
