The pop singer, 43, uploaded a video of herself dancing around her Mexican hotel suite in a skimpy blue bikini. At several points, Spears pulled down on the waist of her bikini bottoms to reveal the parallel tattoos located just above her groin area.

The tattoo on Spears' right is a flower with a Chinese kanji symbol at the center. Meanwhile, the tattoo on the left is a gothic-inspired cross — an apparent nod to Spears' Christian faith. While it's unclear when she got her kanji tat, The New York Times claimed back in 2006 that Spears thought the symbol meant 'mysterious' when it actually translates to 'strange.'.

In her caption, the Lucky singer told fans not to 'laugh' at her and explained why she decided to post the video. 'Don't laugh at me !!! I haven't had a new bathing suit in a while !!! I was like, 'Should I dance ???' I thought I looked pretty, it's actually kinda funny !!!' penned Spears.
