Socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein has died aged 84. The Swiss-born star — born Jocelyne Périsset - had been dubbed Catwoman after reportedly having numerous facial cosmetic procedures. Her death was reported by Paris Match who claimed she was in a Parisian palace at the time of her passing.
Her fiance, Lloyd Klein, released a statement to the publication, saying she had died of a pulmonary embolism in Paris on Tuesday. The statement read: "Her partner Lloyd Klein is saddened to announce the death of Jocelyn Wildensetein in Paris.". Jocelyn was believed to have have spent millions on facelifts that gave her high cheek bones and 'cat-eyes' that give her a feline resemblance. However, she often rejected the claims.
Despite the denial, the mum-of-two recently shocked her Instagram followers in September as she shared a throwback image in which she looked almost unrecognisable. In it, she was posed to perfection as she appeared like a Hollywood star. Her beautiful blonde hair and on point makeup stunned fans as she held her daughter, Diana, on her lap. In the image, Jocelyn was seen smiling contentedly as she sported a chic kaftan. The appearance was worlds away from the woman who hit all the headlines after reportedly going under the knife.
Wildenstein and Klein had been together since 2003. Their romance started four years after her messy divorce from French billionaire businessman and art dealer Alec Wildenstein. She had married her ex in 1978 and was with him for 21 years before their marriage came to an abrupt end. The divorce settlement, reportedly worth billions of pounds, was one of the most expensive in history at the time.
