Just days after her resurgent Royal Rumble victory, Charlotte Flair's divorce from fellow WWE star Andrade has surfaced. Flair and Andrade had been an item since 2019 and got engaged in 2020. The two married in Mexico in 2022. The pair were close enough months after their wedding day that Ric Flair, Charlotte's legendary 16-time world champion father, hand-picked Andrade to be his tag-team partner for his last match.
Andrade and Charlotte reportedly separated last June before finalizing their divorce last October, per TMZ. Andrade returned to WWE last January as part of the 2024 Royal Rumble after a two-plus-year stay with rival All Elite Wrestling. He worked for the WWE from 2015-2021 as well. Flair has been one of, if not the, top female star for the WWE over the last decade, with Saturday's victory making her the first to win two women's Royal Rumble matches.
Days after her Royal Rumble victory, Charlotte Flair's divorce from Andrade has surfaced. Flair and Andrade had dated since 2019 and got engaged in 2020 with two married 2022. Andrade's second run with the WWE has not been as noteworthy as his first, as he has only held the company's 'Speed' title. During his first stint, Andrade was the NXT Champion and United States Champion. Flair is a 14-time women's world champion, with her fathers record well within reach.
By winning the Royal Rumble, Flair is guaranteed a world championship match at WrestleMania 41. Flair will have to choose between Rhea Ripley or Tiffany Stratton to face at WWE's biggest show. Flair and Ripley have already wrestled each other at two previous WrestleMania events, in 2020 and 2023. Stratton and Flair facing each other appears to be the likely match as they have never faced before. Andrade was also involved in the Royal Rumble event, lasting three minutes in the men's match before being eliminated by Jacob Fatu.
