Chelsea are set to hold talks over signing Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, after his agents were spotted at Stamford Bridge for the team's 3-1 win over Wolves this week. Garnacho has been heavily linked with an exit from Old Trafford this month after struggling for game time under Ruben Amorim since he replaced Erik ten Hag in October.
Chelsea has been touted as a possible destination and speculation only ramped up after Garnacho's representatives Carlos Cambeiro and Quique De Lucas, of the Lead3rs agency, were seen in the stands at Chelsea's recent home game. The 20-year-old has also been chased by Napoli in this transfer window, with the Serie A side seeing a £40million bid rejected by United as the club sought a replacement for winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
According to a report from the Telegraph, the Blues will hold talks over their interest in Garnacho before deciding whether to make a move for the Argentine. It's understood that Cambeiro and De Lucas were not invited to Stamford Bridge by Chelsea owners Todd Boehly or Behdad Eghbali but their presence "heightened" talk of a transfer being done.
Chelsea are reportedly chasing three new attacking players, including Garnacho, Dortmund star Jamie Gittens and Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel. United are prepared to play hardball over Garnacho, the report goes on, with the Red Devils understood to want upwards of £50m for the player. It has been suggested United could be willing to cash in on Garnacho considering he came through the club's youth system and would resemble pure profit as far as PSR rules are concerned.
