Chiefs rookie wide receiver Nikko Remigio's game-changing play against the Bills was inspired by a message from Travis Kelce, the 25-year-old revealed. In a recent appearance on the Up and Adams Show with Kay Adams, Remigio shared how Kelce pulled him aside during their AFC championship game against Buffalo with short yet impactful advice.
The veteran approached the rookie after he 'fair caught' a punt return early in the game. 'Trav had came up to me earlier in the game and he was like, 'That's not being great, bro,'' Remigio said. 'So I knew going into this next opportunity that I had to make something happen.'.
'I went and took a peak down the field and saw that it was gonna be tight and it was gonna be a quick play and, you know, just made it happen.'. Remigio returned the punt for 41 yards to help Kansas City maintain their early advantage. They would hold on to the lead and secure a 32-29 win to punch a ticket to the Super Bowl.
