Mette-Marit did not appear to be accompanied by her husband, Crown Prince Haakon, 51, as she made the public appearance, however, Oslo Mayor Anne Lindboe also visited the Library.
According to a press release shared ahead of its opening date, the organisation is 'a repository of specialised fashion research and contemporary fashion publications'.
While pictured browsing through reading material at the library, she sported a large-framed pair of spectacles.
