The show, which will be premiering on the Disney+ streaming service on February 19, was reportedly set to feature a character that was trans in a later episode of the eight-episode first season.
However, some of the dialogue was edited out of that episode to obscure the character's gender identity, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A source close to the production claimed that Disney decided to edit the episodes months ago. In a statement, a spokesperson for Disney addressed the reporting: 'When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline.'.
