Donald Trump is set to follow his historic Super Bowl appearance on Sunday by attending the Daytona 500 the following weekend. The President announced earlier this week that he will be heading to New Orleans as the Kansas City Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles, where a win makes them the first team in Super Bowl history to win the title for three straight season. Trump will be the first sitting President to ever attend a Super Bowl.
But seven days later, he will be in Florida for the Daytona 500 on Feb. 16, according to Ed O'Keefe, the White House correspondent for CBS. Trump has history at the event. He appeared there in 2020, during his first term as President, serving as the Grand Marshal for the race alongside his wife Melania. That day, the presidential limousine even did a lap of the track before the race and according to O'Keefe, it isn't impossible that it happens again.
