DEN BOSCH plays host to the world's top darts stars this weekend - with reigning champion Michael van Gerwen defending his title in front of home support. Van Gerwen, alongside recent crowned world champion Luke Littler and last week's Bahrain Masters winner Stephen Bunting, spearhead a 16-strong pack.
Three-time world champion Van Gerwen pipped teenage prodigy Littler in last year's final 8-6 - where the latter posted the highest checkout in the tournament at 150. As for the rest of the contending field, Bunting is fresh of his first World Series title after defeating Welshman Gerwyn Price last weekend.
World No 1 Luke Humphries was halted at the semi-final stage by the eventual winner and Littler was dumped out the round earlier. Alongside Bunting, fellow World Championship semi-finalists Chris Dobey will make his maiden appearance in Den Bosch after their blistering end to last year.
An additional three more PDC superstars plus eight Benelux representatives - including heavy hitters such as Danny Noppert and Dimitri van den Bergh - will make up the 16-field for Friday’s first round. SunSport has all the information you need ahead of the Dutch Darts Masters.
