Almost a week after Dwayne Wade revealed a cancer scare, where he had 40 percent of his kidney removed, TBS has canceled the hit game show 'The Cube' that he hosted. Wade hosted the American game show for two seasons that aired between 2021 and 2023, with the popular British game show failing to catch on long term. Wade was viewed positively as the host by the show's fans, as he could relate to contestants competing for up to $250,000 inside the self-titled, see-through cube.

One twist on the American version saw Wade take part one task in place of the contestants for one round per show. The most famous moment of 'The Cube' in the United States saw NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal compete for charity on the show and his 7-foot-1, 325-pound frame breaking the cube. Wade, 43, who is married to actress Gabrielle Union, shared his cancer journey last week with People, as he detailed 'shocking' diagnosis for the first time and admitted he had been putting off going to the doctor.

TBS has canceled the hit game show 'The Cube' that Dwayne Wade hosted for two seasons. The cancellation comes less than a week after Wade revealed he had a cancer scare in 2023. But, after his father's battle with prostate cancer, he eventually got a physical after suffering with stomach issues and cramps. He was also urinating slowly. 'On the process of checking, like, "Why is my p*** coming out slow, why is my stream ain't powerful? Why is it a little weak?', Wade explained.

He then revealed that a full-body scan found a 'cyst/tumor' on one of his kidneys and doctors told him he needed surgery. Surgeons then removed just under half of his kidney and came to the conclusion that the tumor was cancerous. Talking about his decision to undergo surgery, Wade said: 'I had a personal decision to make, and what it was was, "If this is cancerous, if this tumor, this cyst is cancerous, on your kidney, you’re 41 years old, you probably need surgery because it's something that needs to be removed so it doesn’t spread"'.
