Emily Atack shared a touching tribute to her partner Alistair Garner's late brother Jim on Wednesday. The Inbetweeners actress, 34, took to Instagram and shared two snaps of Jim, who sadly passed away at the age of 21 in 2004. Alongside the images, she penned: 'This is Alistair's beautiful brother Jim Garner. Today would have been his 42nd birthday.
'His life was tragically cut short when he was just 21, when he died suddenly from an undiagnosed heart condition. 'Al has decided to run the London marathon in April to raise money for @cardiomyopathuk. 'Cardiomyopathy is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in under 35 year old's. This is mainly down to lack of awareness and diagnosis.'.

Cardiomyopathy is a genetic condition affecting one in 500 people and causes the muscular wall of the heart become thickened, making it harder for the heart to pump blood around the body. It can be life-threatening and can cause abnormal heart rhythms which can lead to cardiac arrest and sudden death.
