Summary at a Glance

England faced India in the second One Day International of the three-match series on Sunday, but the outcome was the same as the first, with the Three Lions suffering yet another defeat.

After losing the T20 series, they have now lost the ODI series following the defeat in their second match, which does not bode well for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

In the first ODI match against India, England's young all-rounder Jacob Bethell sustained a left hamstring injury.

While his performances in the T20 series weren't impressive, he managed to come back by scoring 51 runs in the first ODI, while also pocketing the wicket of Shreyas Iyer.

England skipper Jos Buttler credited his opposite Sharma for his excellent performance, however, he admitted that his side were missing someone to push them to a winning score.
