Everton consider sending injured loan star Armando Broja back to Chelsea - in exchange for a midfielder

Everton will explore the potential for sending Armando Broja back to Chelsea with the possibility of taking one of their midfielders in his place. Broja joined Everton on loan last summer but arrived with fitness issues and has been restricted to just 179 minutes of action. He was injured during the FA Cup third round defeat of Peterborough and his ankle issue is likely to mean he is sidelined for three months.
With David Moyes desperate to bring in some new faces to revitalise Everton's squad, the club's recruitment team have been considering a number of options and if Broja goes back to Stamford Bridge, it raises the prospect of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or Carney Chukwuemeka going to Goodison.
Chukwuemeka has not played a single minute in the Premier League for Enzo Maresca and has only made five appearances all season. Dewsbury-Hall cost Chelsea £30million when following his old boss to Stamford Bridge but has not been able to force his way into becoming a regular starter.
Both players would give Moyes the energy he is looking for in midfield but it might not be until the final days before the window closes when it becomes clear on what the future holds for Chukwuemeka and Dewsbury-Hall. Moyes certainly needs options, as he is going to be without Dwight McNeil for a significant period after the midfielder broke down in training at Finch Farm on Friday. He had been looking to see how his knee could hold up but McNeil came off complaining about soreness.
