Everton takeover by The Friedkin Group set to be confirmed as Toffees usher in a new era after Farhad Moshiri's troubled ownership Everton will finally usher in a new era on Thursday when The Friedkin Group officially become the club’s latest owners.

Manager Sean Dyche, who correspondence with Moshiri in recent months has been limited to the odd call and WhatsApp messages, has not had any official discussion with Dan Friedkin, the American billionaire, but he and Director of Football Kevin Thelwell will have plenty to discuss about how to take Everton forward.

Having agreed a deal with Farhad Moshiri to buy his 94.1 per cent shareholding back in September, The Friedkin Group have been conducting due diligence in the months since and a formal announcement is expected at some point on Thursday.

Everton will move into a new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock next season, the one legacy Moshiri will leave that is positive.

It is unclear whether Friedkin or any other members of the TFG consortium will be at Goodison Park on Sunday, for a hugely-important game against title-chasing Chelsea.
