I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia has officially announced the first star that will be heading into the South African jungle on Sunday. Matty 'J' Johnson announced to Instagram on Wednesday morning that the 'lion is out of the bag' and he will be joining the 2025 line-up of contestants.
The Bachelor star, 37, joked that it has been his lifelong dream to 'survive' in a jungle by eating nothing but 'zebra testicles', before asking his followers to wish him luck. Called 'the leading man going into the jungle', Matty J was all smiles in the promo pictures he shared on social media as he donned a wide-brimmed hat.
He also rocked the usual red shirt and khaki shorts uniform I'm A Celebrity contestants often wear. 'Cat (or lion) is out of the bag!' Matty J began in the caption. 'It's always been a dream of mine to survive in the African jungle on nothing but zebra testicles and cold beans and this year it's going to be a reality. Wish me luck!'. Fans flocked to the comments to congratulate the former reality TV star-turned-social media influencer, with many pointing out one notable fact.
'I feel like "who did it better" Britt or Matt memes are coming soon,' one person joked, referencing Brittany Hockley's appearance on I'm A Celebrity in 2024. Brittany starred on The Bachelor in 2018, one year after Matty J, and currently hosts the successful Life Uncut podcast with his wife Laura Byrne.
