ROB HOLDING is set to end his Crystal Palace nightmare by joining Sheffield United on loan. The former Arsenal star has not featured for Oliver Glasner's side this season and has made just one appearance for the Eagles. His exit was always on the cards this month as long as Palace could find an interested party. And according to The Telegraph Sheffield United are closing on a move for the defender. Holding is having a medical with the Blades ahead of a loan switch until the end of the season.
It is a chance for the 29-year-old to resurrect his career after being frozen out by Glasner. Explaining the reason behind Holding's expulsion, Glasner said in September: "Rob is training individually at the moment. "We will talk together. He knows the reason. But it is something that stays between Rob and me. Nothing public.". Glasner replied "no" when asked on Friday if Holding could return to the team.
