Isabel Webster has shared a social media update after departing from GB News. The presenter was axed from the channel's Breakfast show in December 2024, having presented the morning programme since the channel launched in 2021. She was replaced by Ellie Costello. Isabel took to Instagram on Monday morning to encourage her fans to read her weekly column in Woman Magazine. She shared: "Don't forget you can get my weekly take in 'View From The Back' where I say what you are thinking. Only in @woman.maguk.
"Recent columns in January have covered: Elon Musk - if he wasn't so terrifying he'd be fascinating, Online cheating - it's easier than ever to destroy your relationships, Driving tests for the over 70's - not necessarily a great idea. Grab a copy and a cuppa and sit down and enjoy a read.". Isabel's comments section was filled with fans, many of whom were upset that she'd left the news channel. One wrote: "We all miss you on GB News!!!" To which Isabel replied: "Thank you! I hear this a LOT.".
Another said: "As everyone is saying, breakfast Mon-Wed just lacking that special ingredient! Sorely missed, will read the column though, oh and I have the exact same EB mug." And a third said: "I agree with everyone. You and Eamonn were my dream team on a morning.". Eammon admitted he "missed" his former co-star when he returned to the breakfast show without her. The reason behind Isabel's removal is yet to be confirmed, but a source told MailOnline that "Isabel was too woke and not on message" for the channel's brand.
In a dramatic overhaul at the network, Mark Dolan has been shown the door and Jacob Rees-Mogg's airtime has been cut. Taking to Twitter, Mark announced his exit from his Saturday evening programme after a four-year stint, writing: "GB News have made the decision to permanently relieve me of my duties at the channel. I will speak publicly about this in due course.". On his new venture, The Mark Dolan Show, he shared with viewers: "Let me tell you that leaving GB News was not my choice. I was fired. It took minutes. But let me tell you, they did it nicely." He added: "I have made friends for life - cherished friendships. And that is a wonderful thing.".
