Good Morning Britain viewers got more than they bargained for on Thursday morning when one of the show's stars seemed quite 'upset'. Alongside Richard Madeley, Susanna Reid was co-hosting when they invited entertainment reporter Richard Arnold to join in the conversation.
Catching everyone off guard, Richard Arnold showed an unexpectedly poignant side, becoming visibly emotional and on the verge of tears as he lost a grip on his composure. In a touching moment concerning Valentine's Day, the showbiz guru clutched his hand to his mouth, his voice wavered, and his eyes began to glisten with emotion.
He said to his fellow presenters: "Now we're moving on to the season of love. Valentine's Day is upon us." Showing immediate concern for her colleague, Susanna interjected with a compassionate: "Are you alright? Was that a sneeze or emotion?". Richard revealed: "There's a few issues at home," but then quickly added in jest: "No, I'm joking.". This revelation initially stirred a blend of concern and amusement among his co-hosts, with Susanna laughing uncontrollably and an effort by Richard to regain his professional demeanor to progress with the show, reports the Express.
Earlier in the week, Susanna also opened up about home life while reflecting on the decision by a UK college to hire tutors to help students master the art of making phone calls. The pair delved into a discussion about how Generation Z teens abhor making phone calls and typically struggle to initiate conversations over the phone, leading to the suggestion that teachers could step in to assist.
