Golden Globes 2025: Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's sneaky exit caught on camera

Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were left a bit embarrassed when they were caught trying to sneak out of the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. As Sarah Paulson and Rachel Brosnahan were presenting an award on stage, the pair could be seen in the corner of the screen, with Ariana leading Cynthia by the hand as they attempted to discreetly exit the room.
The amusing incident was caught on camera by user @todasgeek, who even captured the moment Ariana realised they were being filmed. Despite their best efforts to duck down and escape the frame, the two actresses were still visible in their glamorous evening gowns.
Golden Globe viewers were quick to comment on the not so subtle exit, with one sharing a clip of the moment on Twitter (X). "cynthia and ariana trying to sneak out behind sarah paulson hand in hand… babes we can see you. #GoldenGlobes," they captioned their video.
Another added: "Ariana and Cynthia sneaking off somewhere together directly into camera shot killed me #GoldenGlobes." It remains a mystery where Ariana and Cynthia disappeared to, but they returned in time to celebrate Wicked winning the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award, joining their fellow cast members on stage.
While Wicked picked up a few awards in general, Ariana and Cynthia missed out on personal recognitions. Operatic musical Emilia Perez – about a Mexican drug lord who changes gender – was the big film winner of the night, with Zoe Saldana beating first-time nominated Ariana and winning best supporting actress.
