Gruesome truth behind the man dubbed 'eunuch maker' who cut off penises including his own

He called himself the ‘Eunuch Maker’ - and took twisted pleasure in performing gruesome surgical procedures in his basement flat, including sawing off men’s penises and testicles with a kitchen knife and severing entire limbs. Marius Gustavson turned a room under the stairs of his rented two-bedroomed flat, in a pleasant row of Victorian terraces in north London, into a dungeon of horrors - broadcasting his butchery live to 20,000 paying subscribers on the internet.
In a case which shocked Britain when it emerged last year, the Norwegian ringleader of a vile extreme body modification ring made £300,000 from vile videos of amateur amputations of victims who had been pressured into taking part. On one occasion Gustavson, who was sentenced to life in prison in May last year, cooked a pair of severed testicles and ate them for lunch in “an artfully arranged salad platter”, while in another video he was seen “tasting” a severed penis. Police found more testicles and other body parts in a chest freezer in his house, stored in plastic bags and takeaway containers.
They also found the 46-year-old’s own penis in a drawer four years after it had been amputated, while his two testicles were hanging in a picture frame above his bed. Gustavson had also had his right nipple and left leg removed. So when filmmaker Marcel Theroux - the brother of broadcaster Louis Theroux - went to meet Gustavson, he was expecting a face to face encounter with “a monster”.
