Shots have been fired outside of a regional courtroom in Germany where a high-profile trial for the fatal shooting of a boxer is ongoing.
Police said a ‘major operation’ is underway outside of Bielefeld Court, where the trial for boxer Besar Nimani is being held.
Neue Westfälische has reported that the defendant’s father and brother were both shot outside of the courthouse, but police haven’t confirmed.
One witness told Bild someone shouted ‘Someone is shooting outside!’.
BILD reported that ‘several’ family members of the defendant were shot dead.
