ANGE POSTECOGLOU enjoyed an unfamiliar feeling as Tottenham claimed victory over Hoffenheim. The Aussie manager had been under pressure after the club slipped to 15th in the Premier League table after three consecutive league defeats. But the Europa League offered the perfect medicine as Spurs romped to a win in Germany.
James Maddison opened the scoring before Son Heung-min made it 2-0 before the break. Hoffenheim did hit back after the break as Anton Stach converted just minutes after VAR overturned a penalty decision. Son netted his second of the night to put any hopes of a comeback to bed and seal a much-needed win for Spurs.
