ROYAL PAGAILLE (2.30 Haydock, nap). He has an incredible record at Haydock with five wins from six runs including his second Grade 1 Lancashire Chase here last time out. He got back up on the line to beat Grey Dawning and the long straight here plays to his strengths. He won this in 2022 off top weight and can repeat the feat in ideal conditions.
HAALAND (10.15 Lingfield, nb). He looks ready to score after making his challenge a little too late when half a length away at Kempton last time. He sees out this trip strongly and has winning form around here. KOTMASK (2.15 Ascot, treble). He has been in good form around here and landed a convincing win last time. His jumping has been better and this trip suits. He was behind Martator when they met in November but he’s 8lb better off at the weights today and that could prove vital.
