HEBRIDEAN NOMAD (1.12 Southwell, nap). He came back from a year off to run a cracker when second at Lingfield last time. In-form trainer Andrew Balding has wisely given him four weeks off to recover from that and he looks hard to beat off the same mark. After just four runs, there should be a lot more to come.
ROSENPUR (12.12 Southwell, nb). Landed a deserved win at Wolverhampton last time after a long run of seconds. He really enjoyed dropping back in trip to five furlongs and had plenty left in the tank crossing the line. He’s gone up 5lb for that success but will be competitive again.
DYRHOLAEY (1.42 Southwell, treble). Kicked off his career last season with three wins on the sand before being pitched into the deep end of a Royal Ascot handicap for his turf debut. That modest effort ended his season but he returned from six months off to go close at Wolverhampton and a repeat would make him hard to beat.
