Huge update emerges on Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith's Inside the NBA future

Despite bids to join the new in-studio teams for NBA coverage from NBC Sports and Amazon, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith are reportedly close to re-signing with TNT. Smith, O'Neal, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson are the quartet of the wildly popular 'Inside The NBA', with TNT airing the show.

TNT's NBA contract expires at the end of the season, with the show being licensed by ESPN starting in the fall. Now, the quartet will stick together on their new network. Both Smith and O'Neal talked with representatives from Amazon and NBC Sports before putting pen to paper, per CNBC.
Those networks are already in the process of forming their coverage teams for next year's NBA coverage. Already on the Prime Video team is Taylor Rooks, who will host their NBA studio show. Former NBA All-Stars Dirk Nowitzki and Blake Griffin will be two of the panelists.
