The actor, who settled a privacy case against NGN last year, reacted to the news on BBC Radio 4 on Friday morning in which he stated: “I have some sympathy, when I’m in a generous mood, for politicians terrified of the Murdochs.” A clip of the interview with Amol Rajan was posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, and it caught the attention of Piers.
However, Hugh wasn’t letting Piers’ comments slide, as he quickly took to the social media platform to ‘hit back’.
“REMINDER: Hugh Grant took many millions of pounds from Rupert Murdoch to make movies for him.
Last year, he settled for a “large amount of money” with The Sun after being advised he risked being liable for £10m if his case went to trial.
