Netflix viewers who love competition series such as Squid Game, will be pleased to know that new series Celebrity Bear Hunt is officially streaming on the platform as of today (February 5). I was fortunate enough to be invited down to Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square, London last night (February 4) for the grand premiere as the famous faces who took part were finally able to scrub up well after roughing it in the Costa Rican jungle for 18 days while filming.

As the guests were ushered into one venue for the screening of the first episode, the stars including Mel B (actual Scary Spice), The Saturdays star Una Healey and The Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas walked in and sat beside us for the screener. The man himself, Bear Grylls and host Holly Willoughby were also in attendance as the lights went out and the show began. Now what I found with this show is that one minute you'll be laughing your head off and the next you'll be on the edge of your seat as you watch the celebrities take on terrifying challenges.

In the first episode, the 12 celebrities were split into two groups and tasked with finding their way out of the desert, with three modes of transportation on offer. However, lurking in the bushes was Bear who was attempting to hunt them down at every chance he could get. Without giving away too much to those who are yet to tune in on Netflix, four celebrities were caught by Bear and taken away. They later found out that they would have to try and survive the deadly Bear Pit which has all manners of terrifying aspects including wild animals, booby traps and, of course, Bear himself.

However, before we could find out who was going to be caught, the first episode ended on a cliffhanger, prompting the audience to let out a sigh. As the lights came on, the cast and crew were met with a thunderous applause and if their reaction was anything to go by, viewers are in for a real treat. The standout character among the cast has to be chef and rapper Big Zuu, who had me and the rest of the guests in stitches with his one-liners.

He had the crowd in fits of laughter with his larger-than-life personality, particularly when he broke his bed just hours into moving into their new residence. The whole series is now streaming on Netflix globally now, which means fans can binge-watch the entire season in one go. Celebrity Bear Hunt is available to watch on Netflix now.
