Inside Joe Exotic's sad Christmas behind bars as he begs Donald Trump for freedom

It's been five years since Joe Exotic was convicted on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire for the plot to kill Carole Baskin. The star of Netflix's Tiger King received a sentence of 22 years in prison for his actions - shortened by a year after a 2022 appeal. However, he continues to fight for his freedom. Now, as he faces another Christmas behind bars, he has explained what's in store for him this festive period while doubling down on his plea to incoming president Donald Trump.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror from Fort Worth prison in Texas, he complained about the conditions he is facing, the food he will likely receive on Christmas day, and his current fears. Opening up on the apparent conditions he is facing, Joe - whose real name is Joseph Maldonado - claimed: "If you could imagine living in a third world country in a house with holes in the ceilings, holes in the walls and all of your neighbours are in your house smoking crack and passed out all day long [that's what awaits].
"I will more than likely just eat another Ramen soup because the BOP is broke and their holidays meals have went to s***. I will spend the day watching grown a** men sit around... looking like two year olds drooling and puking on themselves.". After his wild allegations, he went on to make a plea to Donald Trump, claiming: "I am innocent and if you would take ten minutes and watch the depositions of the government witnesses admitting to perjury and a plot to kill me you would see I am innocent... You left me once, please don't leave me here another four years.".
