Fans who searched on the platform for #WithLoveMeghan were shown a message saying Instagram had hidden the results as it 'may contain sensitive content'.
Those who searched for accounts with the hashtag are then shown a message saying 'child sexual abuse is illegal'. Instead of photos and videos related to the upcoming show, people were given a message that links them to resources about helping victims of abuse.
'We think the your search might be associated with child sexual abuse,' the message read. 'Child sexual abuse or viewing sexual imagery of children can lead to imprisonment and other severe personal consequences. 'This abuse causes extreme harm to children ans searching and viewing such material adds to that harm.
'To get confidential help or learn how to report any content as inappropriate visit our Help Centre. Fans who search on the platform for #WithLoveMeghan are shown a message saying Instagram has hidden the results as it 'may contain sensitive content'.
