Liverpool or Tottenham will book their place in the Carabao Cup final on Thursday night when they clash at Anfield in the second leg of their semi-final. Spurs won the first leg 1-0 in north London to give them a narrow advantage as they travel to Merseyside. The Reds are still firmly in the tie, though, and go into the contest in relentlessly good form, sitting top of the Premier League table. Tottenham, in contrast, are having a shocking season in the top flight, sitting 14th in the table, but they have been good in the cup competitions. Both blocked. 18 mins: It’s been mostly all Liverpool so far but Spurs have a little bit of joy, winning a free-kick in the opponent’s half and then a corner, but it comes to nothing.
