Viewers of Good Morning Britain were left gobsmacked on Thursday (January 23) when they spotted a presenter shake-up. Richard Madeley joined the usual weekday host Susanna Reid, who typically anchors the ITV morning news show from Monday to Wednesday. Fans swiftly voiced their astonishment over Susanna's unexpected appearance on X (formerly Twitter ). One bemused viewer questioned: "Erm Susanna do you realise its a Thursday right?".
While another highlighted her increased airtime: "Susanna Reid 4 mornings in a row," and a stunned third fan exclaimed: "WTF! Susanna Reid working FOUR days!?!?! My bacon sandwich has just took off!!". Previously, Susanna launched her career as a journalist at BBC Radio Bristol before reporting for BBC News 24, reports the Manchester Evening News.
She was also prominently known for her role on BBC Breakfast, where she hosted alongside Bill Turnbull from Monday through Wednesday. After her stints on Sunday Morning Live and The Andrew Marr Show, Susanna made the switch to ITV to become the face of Good Morning Britain in 2014.
During an earlier segment this week, Susanna gave viewers an insight into her personal life while debating the merit of a UK college employing tutors to help pupils make phone calls. "Everything is online! People tend to email, text or WhatsApp. They don't speak to each other on the phone," she remarked, highlighting the modern communication trend.
