Resurfaced footage from the New Heights podcast has revealed where Jason Kelce's allegiances lie ahead of a blockbuster Super Bowl between his beloved Philadelphia Eagles and his brother Travis' Kansas City Chiefs. The legendary Eagles center, 36, will be watching the Super Bowl from the stands after announcing his retirement from the NFL at the end of last season.
He hung up his cleats after an incredible 13-year career that included being on the losing side of a Super Bowl showdown against Travis and the Chiefs in February 2023. On Sunday, he was in Philadelphia to watch his former Eagles teammates book their spot in the big game again, before hot-footing it to Kansas City to watch his brother Travis do the same.
Another Chiefs-Eagles matchup has led to many fans querying who Jason will be supporting, but a podcast clip from March 2024 has seemingly revealed the answer. 'I will root for the Eagles of course because I will always be an Eagle first and foremost,' he insisted when asked who he would support in the hypothetical situation on their New Heights podcast.
This year's Super Bowl will be a rematch of 2023, when Jason and Travis Kelce battled it out. On Sunday, Jason was in the VIP suite at Arrowhead watching his brother win once again. 'I will still root for Travis to have a good game because he's my brother,' he added. 'But I will definitely be cheering on the Eagles in this scenario.'.
