Kai Havertz scores landmark Arsenal goal to all but seal top-eight place - 5 talking points

Declan Rice set Arsenal on course for the last 16 by scoring their fastest Champions League goal since 2014. Mikel Arteta's side sit third in the table on 16 points and face Girona away in the final round of games next Wednesday with only an improbable series of results ruling them out of the top eight.
Midfielder Rice drove in a first-time finish after 104 seconds following Kai Havertz's smart assist. And Havertz then headed home midway through the second half for the 500th goal of the Arteta era before Martin Odegaard made it 3-0 in added time. Rice was also pelted with a number of missiles from Dinamo fans as he lined up to take corner kicks with riot police drafted in during the second half.
Not a bad evening of centre-forward play from Havertz. With his first touch he laid off cleverly for Rice to slam home the opener and after plenty of more good link-up play the Germany international rose high to head home Gabriel Martinelli's cross and ensure it would be a very comfortable, if chilly night in north London.
This has been a difficult spell for Havertz but in all competitions he now has 14 goals. This was better from Raheem Sterling. His struggles since arriving on loan from Chelsea have been well documented but given the chance to start again he embarked on a couple of trademark runs that were not far from producing a decisive moment.
