Lando Norris has been given the first taste of the McLaren he hopes will propel him to Formula One world championship glory as the British team unveiled their new car at Silverstone.
But Norris, 25, and team-mate Oscar Piastri still delivered McLaren's first constructors' championship since 1998 at the concluding round in Abu Dhabi last December.
Norris fell short in his quest to take his first title last year after Max Verstappen saw off his challenge to land his fourth consecutive crown.
Norris took the championship fight to Verstappen last year after claiming his maiden win in Miami before further victories in the Netherlands, Singapore and Abu Dhabi followed.
However, after relatively few changes to the sport's rulebook, Norris, with the experience of competing for a title, will be expected to be competing at the sharp end once more when the 24-round season begins in Melbourne on March 16.
