Liberals are panicking after realizing they're automatically being forced to follow Melania Trump and JD Vance on Instagram - with some coming up with conspiracy theories surrounding Meta's involvement. If people were following the White House, POTUS, VP account or the First Lady account on Instagram, after the inauguration, the accounts were transferred over to the new First Lady and Vice President, much to followers' dismay.

Fans who followed Kamala Harris and Jill Biden were shocked to log on and learn they now follow Melania and former Ohio senator Vance. Democrats took to X (previously Twitter) to air their grievances and show their shock, especially since some people said they were still following the accounts even after unfollowing repeatedly.

'Guys you're following those accounts on Instagram because they were once Kamala's and like Jill Biden - @ flotus and @ vp get handed over each time,' one person explained. Others thought it could be a conspiracy theory at play, blaming Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who is now a proud supporter of President Donald Trump.

'Zuckerberg made the new POTUS, VPOTUS & FLOTUS official accounts on Facebook & Instagram default to "Following"… without consent,' an X user announced. 'Most people now following them don't know it. Happened to me. We're not Russia yet, do something about this,' one commentator wrote angrily.
