One bargain hunter said: ''Got to the cart exactly at 10am and waiting time was one minute - and sold out!''.
Got in the queue at 9.59, eight minute wait, one minute left and sold out.''.
The frustrated Lidl shopper also added that there may have been some people who had purchased the beauty boxes only to then resell them for profit elsewhere.
Someone else who was excited to order one of the 1,000 boxes claimed they had to use five different payment methods - which also turned out to be futile.
