The granddaughter of late legendary country singer Loretta Lynn is pregnant with her first child. Emmy Russell, 25, shared the happy news on Thursday during a live taping of the Got it From My Momma podcast with her mother, Patsy. The father is her boyfriend Tyler Ward, 40, who is also a singer.

'Y'all, Tyler and me are expecting a baby girl,' she said during the podcast. Ward came on stage and touched his girlfriend's tummy. 'I'm so excited that right out of American Idol – I didn't know. So, you know, that's kind of been the journey,' she said. 'I'm so excited.'.

Russell competed in season 22 of American Idol and made it to the Top 5. She covered her late grandmother Lynn's hit song Coal Miner's Daughter.
