Louis Walsh bravely agreed to tell his side of the story in a new tell-all Boyzone documentary, despite undergoing chemotherapy. The music mogul, who founded the Boyzone in 1993 but has been at war with them for over a decade, took part in the filming of the series while he was receiving treatment for a rare type of blood cancer.
A source close to the 72-year-old star: 'Louis was really ill at the time, but made the effort to appear on the programme. 'He was having chemo for his blood cancer, so wasn’t looking his best and it really took it out of him. 'You will see in the documentary that he complains he is tired, but when Louis makes a commitment he stands by it.'.
He had Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, a rare type of blood cancer, but has since been given the all clear after receiving treatment in Dublin. Louis Walsh, 72, bravely agreed to tell his side of the story in a new tell-all Boyzone documentary, despite undergoing chemotherapy.

The music manager previously admitted being diagnosed with cancer left him in 'shock' and gave him a 'reality check'.
He continued: 'It did affect me mentally, I got to be honest with you. [Points to his head] it’s just up here, even when I go past a hospital I almost get sick. 'It’s all gone, I’m fine. It was just the shock of being sick and that word…nobody wants that word.
