Louise Thompson gives health update after going missing from social media for a full week

Louise Thompson has revealed she actively avoided social media over Christmas to allow herself to fully unwind after a painful year beset with health issues. The 34-year-old Made In Chelsea star was in and out of hospital throughout 2024 as she battled health issues - leaving her at times apart from fiancé Ryan Libbey and their three-year-old son, Leo-Hunter. Taking to Instagram on New Year's Eve, Louise updated her followers to reveal she had delighted in taking time away from Instagram, Snapchat, X and more.
Sharing a batch of images of herself with her young family, the reality star wrote: "Gosh the best gift I gave myself this Christmas REALLY was to back the F off of social media for 7+ days…" Going into more details, she continued: "I took 7 days off social media for Christmas and it ended up being the greatest gift I gave to myself and my family. Here’s why…".
She then went on to list all the reasons she took time for herself - and the things she learned about herself, and activities that she enjoyed during the time she resisted uploading images and videos to her platforms. She typed: "I’ll admit it felt a little weird at first, which made me think even harder about the reasons why I needed to stick with it.".
Sharing adorable photographs of herself with her husband-to-be and son, she continued: "I cuddled my son for hours and hours and hours. We have had so many magical meaningful conversations together. I feel like I’ve taught him things too. I have had more patience to teach him lessons and a bit more about the game of life.".
