Luke the FLUKE?! Stats show 17-year-old sensation Littler sits second to Scottish sharp-shooter in REAL rankings of best darts players ahead of Ally Pally bonanza

Luke Littler is going into the darts World Championship as the favourite to win the tournament, priced ahead of defending champion and arch rival Luke Humphries. It was in last year's tournament that Littler, then aged 16, announced himself to the world with a stunning performance that saw him, unseeded, march to the final before he was defeated by his fellow Brit.
His success wasn't a one-off, either. Joining the Pro Tour, he went onto win the Premier League on debut and the Grand Slam this year, while losing out to, you guessed it, Humphries in the Players Championship final. Nominated for BBC's Sports Personality of the Year too, Littler is now a household name, recently revealed as the most Googled athlete of 2024. There is every reason for fans to be optimistic for his chances in the big one.
But, perhaps staggeringly, another man has gone under the radar. Littler has, as aforementioned, been in fine form this year, but so has someone else. We're not talking about Humphries. Or Grand Prix winner Mike De Decker. Or three- time world champion Michael van Gerwen. But Gary Anderson. And the stats, via Darts Orakel show it.
Luke Littler is the favourite to lift this year's darts World Championship ahead of its kick-off. He missed out in the final against fellow Brit Luke Humphries (pictured) in last year's edition. The stats, however, show that Scotland's Gary Anderson is in fact the most in-form player.
