Lechia, currently facing financial difficulties and positioned 17th in the Polish top flight, has attracted the attention of an investment group led by US influencer Strogoff, who has Polish roots.
WEALTHY Donald Trump fan and influencer Kinga Strogoff has vowed to make Polish football club Lechia Gdansk "great again".
Lechia Gdansk was founded on 7th August 1945 as BOP Baltia Gdansk, originally established for workers rebuilding Polish seaports after World War II.
Strogoff went on to add: "Poland is currently one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe, and the imminent spectre of Lechia Gdansk's collapse really breaks my heart.".
Strogoff told local media that Lechia Gdansk has the potential to become the third-largest team in Poland in terms of revenue and fan base.
